Lakeshore
I consider the Lakeshore neighborhood a hidden gem of San Francisco. Located next to the Sunset District and Merced Manor, its quiet streets and proximity to the beautiful Lake Merced make it a niche place to live. You can find solace there, whether it’s a run around the lake, taking in the view during sunrise or sunset, or signing your children up to join the summer rowing camps dedicated to 6th-12th graders. Right next to the lake you will find TPC Harding Park Golf Course, a public golf course that also hosts some of the top players in the world during the PGA Championships every few years. Do you also enjoy the beach and trails? Visit one of my personal favorites, Fort Funston, where you will find hand gliders, serene views, short cliffside hikes, and one of the largest dog friendly beach areas in San Francisco. The San Francisco Zoo is also part of this district, and many locals and tourists alike come visit the 1000+ animals housed here.
